Considering what we've seen the Pegulas handle contracts with both teams, the idea that they won't go 8 years seems out of the ordinary for them. So I'm gonna say whoever said that has no idea what they're talking about.

With 9m and change left in cap room, Risto's will take a good chunk of it.
